Why join BLTC?
TENNIS IS FOR EVERYONE . Whatever your age and however well you play tennis, you will find a warm welcome at our Club. There is no playing-in standard, so players who are new to the game, or a bit rusty after a few years' break, will still find suitable partners and opponents. For more experienced players we will try to introduce you to people of a similar standard to play with. Just ask any committee member , or email the Membership Sec to arrange this or if you are interested in competitive play (see below) register to make sure you are considered for Team Selection.
JUST TURN UP AND PLAY . One of the very special things about our Club is that you can turn up at any of our Club Sessions and be more-or-less be certain to find people of a similar standard to play tennis with. You do not have to come with a partner or an opponent. The club has 6 courts and 3 with floodlights for evening play and the club is usually bustling with activity right through the year.
IT NEVER RAINS . Well ok it does sometimes but even if it is a bit damp, the artificial grass courts provide a non-slip surface in all but the very worst weather conditions.
JUNIORS WELCOME - we have an extensive Junior Coaching and Play programme. We particularly encourage juniors to join one of the Coaching programme to help them achieve their full potential in the game, and those that show real promise will be invited to join one of the Club's junior performance squads.
LOTS OF COMPETITION if you want it. We have many teams competing with other clubs around Northern Ireland , as well as veterans and various other formats at local and national level. See the Team Tennis section of the site.
